Indian–Western Fusion Wedding at Proyectos Públicos, Mexico City — Designed by Adrianna Orizaga
An Editorial Indian Western Fusion Wedding at Proyectos Públicos
Set inside the historic courtyard of Proyectos Públicos, Jefferey & Merelyn said their I-Do’s in the most stunning architectural venue of Mexico City.
Proyectos Públicos — originally an early 20th-century industrial-era structure repurposed for public events — has become one of Mexico City’s most compelling event spaces. Its high ceilings, layered balconies, and textured stonework offer both monumentality and intimacy, making it a natural choice for couples seeking a dramatic but refined canvas.
For Jefferey and Merelyn, Proyectos Públicos wasn’t just a beautiful venue — it was one they’d fallen in love with years earlier while attending a friend’s wedding there. They flew back to Mexico City for every visit, each time deeper in love with the space. Ultimately, when the couple were engaged, their first priority was booking this venue, then for planner Adrianna Orizaga to bring their vision to life.
Adrianna Orizaga, is a luxury destination wedding designer and planner based in Mexico City. With over 18 years of planning high-end multi-cultural celebrations for couples all over. She helped bring Jefferey and Merelyn’s vision to life with the use of florals from FLÖR & FLÖRA, who suspended the flowers from the center of the balconies. While maintaining the raw beauty of the venue, this added a softness, movement, and dramatic punctuation to the ceremony.
The ceremony was anchored by suspended rings of white florals and lush greenery that echoed the venue’s vertical lines without overwhelming them. Friends and family flew in from Dallas, Florida, the West Coast, and India, surrounding the couple in a semi-amphitheater of seats and shared presence.
The celebration began with worship and a short message from their pastor, grounding the union in faith before moving into the wedding ritual. Indian ceremonial elements were woven into a Western-style flow, creating a fusion that felt intentional.
Indian fusion weddings in Mexico City: What makes this wedding especially resonant — are the luxe design elements like the drenched florals, the venue’s historical facade, we believe that Proyectos Públicos (and Mexico City) is on the global map for Indian fusion weddings.
This celebration is a clear example of how Indian fusion weddings in Mexico City can feel elevated, culturally rooted, and editorially beautiful. When a strong venue meets thoughtful planning and a globally connected guest list, the result is both timeless and highly shareable.
A moment from this ceremony has since gone viral, capturing the scale and emotion of the celebration.
